All-Pro Modular Long Travel Kit for 2nd Gen Toyota Tacoma (2005-2015)
The stock IFS Tacoma suspension is great on the road, but its flaws quickly become apparent off-road. Poor clearance. Stamped, thin-gage control arms. Weak tie rod ends. Steering racks that fail with larger tires. Weak control arm mounts. Alignment cams that move every time you roll over the smallest obstacle. Fenders that rub on tires that are slightly larger than stock. Many companies have tried to fix some of these issues with fabricated arms, reinforcement kits, and expensive, custom-fabricated steering racks. Some arms move the wheel mount surface (WMS) forward and alter the steering geometry, resulting in steering that handles poorly. No one has developed a comprehensive solution to these problems on a Tacoma. Until now.
All-Pro Off-Road is proud to release the first comprehensive long travel solution for the Toyota Tacoma. Our Modular Long Travel (MLT) kit replaces the entire IFS suspension and differential mount on your Tacoma, giving you 15 inches of unrestricted wheel travel (13.5 inches with our recommended setup of King TC5119-03 coilovers, 23” limit straps, & Superbumps) and superior durability, along with the ability to run up to 42” tires! How do we do this? Our patent pending bulkhead system replaces the weak crossmember, suspension mounts, and stock steering rack with a heavy-duty module that can be moved up to 4” forward of the stock location, allowing the suspension and steering to move as a single unit, which means that the ideal steering geometry never changes, and bump steer is almost completely eliminated.
The high-clearance uniball lower control arm and the upper A-arm are fully boxed for strength under the most grueling off-road conditions and adds 3.5 inches of width on either side. The spindle wheel mount surface is fully machined from forged 1020 steel and the entire spindle is boxed with double-shear mounts for chromoly rod ends. The crossmembers are fabricated from 3/16” thick steel and incorporate 3-point mounting for the steering rack.
A robust steering system makes all the difference both on the pavement and off-road, and our power steering system makes driving with any size tire a joy. The included Trail-Gear Power Flow LC200 steering rack is the heart of the steering system. The LC200 rack is the largest, most powerful rack Toyota has ever made for passenger vehicles and dwarfs the weak stock Tacoma rack. We include the Trail-Gear Power Flow 1650 psi pump to power the rack. Our new high-flow cooler with copper tubing and high-flow reservoir filter kit keeps your power steering fluid cool and clean even in the worst desert conditions.
The right shocks & bump stops are essential to off-roading and rock crawling. The MLT kit is dual shock ready. Choose the optional King Long Travel shocks or supply your own. You can add on the optional King bypass shocks when you are ready to take your shock tuning to the next level. We include Superbumps for a controlled, progressive stop during bottom-outs, and the optional Trail-Gear Performance Air Bump kit can be added to protect your shock investment from hard impacts at full suspension compression.
Proper alignment is crucial both on & off the pavement. Our novel alignment system does away with cams that have to be readjusted after every off-road trip and replaces them with our solid alignment tab system. Alignment tabs in 1/16” offset increments are included in this kit and different alignment tabs can be quickly changed without removing the pivot bolts.
To finish it off, we provide a powder-coated aluminum skid plate to provide extra protection to your steering rack & differential.

➜ Stock IFS axles will not work with this kit. You will need IFS axles with +3.5” extended axle shafts. We recommend Longfield +3.5” IFS axles.
➜ We recommend installing new hubs & hub seals when installing this kit. See the Related Items below for replacement hub seals.
➜ 17” minimum wheel size required. We recommend Trail-Gear Tacoma Creeper Locks.
➜ You will need to extend your front driveshaft. We recommend that you have a qualified driveline shop extend the drivelines. We recommend that you install new driveline U-joints.
