We’ve enhanced the traditional features of a hard clamshell tent by incorporating gas struts for effortless opening, multiple entry points, and a sleek 7-inch fold for optimal aerodynamics. But we didn’t stop there— we made it even better.
Crafted with an aluminum honeycomb top and our renowned aluminum slat design on the bottom, this clamshell tent stands out as one of the lightest options on the market. It strikes the perfect balance between durability and weight, ensuring convenience during your outdoor adventures.
Choose from two sizes: the 49” model offers ample space for 1-2 people, while the 55” variant comfortably accommodates 2-3 individuals. Both sizes feature the premium Freespirit Recreation tri-layer fabric, providing superior comfort for camping across multiple seasons. Immerse yourself in stunning views through the large windows on the front and sides. Plus, the three zippered window options grant you the flexibility to fully open the tent and embrace nature, use the mesh screen to keep bugs at bay, or utilize the tri-layer blackout coverings for added privacy.
Inside the tent, you’ll find our new and improved larger LED light strip, conveniently powered via USB. Additionally, the clamshell roof boasts extra pockets, offering supplementary storage space to keep your belongings secure throughout the night. And to ensure easy access, we include a 7-foot ladder for your convenience.
Installation guide:
Quickest deployment: Even with tired eyes and heavy feet, the Aspen design offers quick and easiest setup like all our Rooftop Tents.It's (4) adjustable latches diversify the overall pressure needed to deploy or securely close the tent, so there's not one part that's too difficult. Simply unhinge the latches, push up, extend, and set the ladder.
Flex storage: Like a jolly Sea Turtle, the Aspen welcomes gear aboard it's own roof and side mounting channels. Do it all every trip, with the addition of our Crossbars or 270 Awning Brackets
Aspen 49'' 1-2 Campers: The Aspen's clam shell design provides a balanced overhead interior above a spacious mattress.
Aspen 55'' 2-3 Campers: Fully-equip your sleep situation with this elite setup from FSR. Sprawl-out in style with the Aspen 55".

Insulated tent body: The Aspen's Tri-Layer tent body keeps you warmer in the winters and cooler in the summers. Similar to premium puffy jackets, it's sonic-welded and moisture-wicking!
Integrated L.E.D.: Illuminate the room with the New "Bigger and Better" Aspen Series LED light strip. Running the entire overhead space this LED light strip will provide all the light you need. Powered via USB type A.
