The Alternate build for the 18" rack still allows tonneau functionality for rollups and limited range for the Diamondback in a form factor some prefer with the angled riser brackets.

Great for tents, snowboards, skis, bikes, and long kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards that need to be at roof height. Adjustable in height in 2 in increments from 6.5" to 18.5". Has the ability to add a second crossbar.

Tonneau compatibility: Most Tonneau covers are compatible with this rack, but only Diamonback, soft and hard roll up, and retractable covers will be functional.
